Six Years in a Row: 11,000+ Adoptions
The large number of adoptions makes Oregon Humane one of the busiest shelters in the nation with one of the highest save rates. Oregon Humane adopts out more animals from its shelter on NE Columbia Blvd. than any other single shelter facility on the West Coast. Today’s adoption marks the sixth year in a row that Oregon Humane has reached the 11,000 mark for animal adoptions. More info here »
This feat is especially remarkable because Oregon Humane never puts a time limit on how long a pet remains available for adoption and regularly takes in animals from other shelters in need.
A Loving, Experienced Home
Clint Bruton said he always had a soft spot for Westies. Bruton and Tammy Fields had met the dog for the first time yesterday, but they were the second hold on the dog. They were elated to find out today that they could adopt Beaugard. “This dog has had a rough start to life, now it’s our job to provide him a safe, comfortable home,” said Bruton.
