Dogs from Central Oregon will be available for adoption Friday, March 23.
The Oregon Humane was asked to assist the Humane Society of Central Oregon (HSCO) following the intake of 53 dogs from a property in La Pine. A team from Oregon Humane, including Sharon Harmon, president and CEO, traveled to Bend on Saturday, March 17 to meet with representative from COregon Humane, offer help and transport 22 dogs back to Oregon Humane.
“This was a very large intake of dogs for our partners at COregon Humane and we are glad to assist,” said Sharon Harmon, president and CEO, Oregon Humane. “We have the resources and expertise to care for these pets and find them loving homes.”
The dogs transferred to Oregon Humane include German Shorthaired Pointers, Labrador Retrievers, Dachshunds and Chihuahuas. Of the 22 dogs, 18 were from the property in La Pine and four were from HSCO’s shelter. Approximately 19 of the dogs will be available for adoption beginning Friday, March 23. The others are undergoing further evaluation.
